DUBAI CITY GUIDE

DUBAI CITY GUIDE

Dubai is a lovely city. You won't ever get bored because it's a really modern location with a tonne to do. So where do I begin when

there is so much to accomplish, you may be asking. Do not be concerned; I have you covered. Here is my guide to the city of Dubai.

WHEN TO GO

From November to April is the ideal season to travel to Dubai. Early March was a fantastic time to visit, as I recall. You'll likely regret

it because of the heat if you're intending to travel between May and October.

WHERE TO STAY

Along with my buddies, I went there. The Arabian Park Hotel was where we stayed. Basically, all we needed was a place to sleep

and shower. Since the bed was so comfy, it wasn't the bed's fault that I could hardly sleep. Can you relate? It's simply that I

sometimes have trouble falling asleep since I'm so exhausted. So, it was more than adequate and ideal for our budget.

The hotel offered a shuttle service to and from the airport and was conveniently located near a metro stop.

OUR 3-DAY

The old town, which is completely different from all the contemporary skyscrapers you're used to seeing, is where we started our journey. Be prepared to literally get lost, as we did. I believe that's where the cultural shock is most noticeable.

The Dubai Museum and the historic souks are located nearby. You should visit the Gold and Spice Souks (markets) to get the whole experience. With all the spices and colours, you'll feel like you're in an Aladdin movie set.

At the Arabian Tea House, we had lunch. This is the place to go if you want to experience real Emirati cuisine. In addition, it has lovely decorations like lace curtains, white rattan seats, and turquoise benches. You can really sense the Emirati warmth there, and it has such a calm atmosphere. In addition to being a nice spot to escape the heat, the food is excellent.

We had a trip on an abra, a type of traditional boat, following lunch. Only 1 dirham is spent per journey, which is surprisingly little. Abras were the earliest type of public transportation in Dubai.

DUBAI DANCING FOUNTAIN
Returning to the contemporary area of the city, we visited the Dubai Mall purely to take in the splendour of the Dancing Fountain. Every 30 minutes, a different show is available. One of the highlights of the trip, it is breathtaking. We saw a tonne of performances, and I can say that at night it's much more stunning. The experience is absolutely free, and I highly recommend it.

BURJ KHALIFA

The Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest structure. It's on my list of must-see places in Dubai. If you visit Dubai, you must climb the world's tallest structure. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! You should definitely go to level 148; it's a little more pricey, but it's totally worth it. At 555 metres, it has the tallest observation deck in the entire globe and an outdoor terrace. The view is breathtaking, from above, you can see the Dubai Fountain and the entire city's stunning architecture. And, as I did, remember to purchase your tickets in advance.

DAY 2

ABU DHABI BUS TOUR

We had the opportunity to tour Abu Dhabi on the second day. It was a full-day bus tour of the city's top sights. The Yas Viceroy Hotel was the first stop for refreshments and snacks. We went to see the hotel because Yas Marina Circuit is close by.

SHEIKH ZAYED GRAND MOSQUE

The visit to the Sheikh Zayed Great Mosque was the day's high point. It's a work of art. You will be in awe of the exquisite details, the architecture, and the magnificent chandeliers. You simply cannot miss it. Again, you need to be really aware of what you're wearing. You must remove your shoes, cover your entire body from head to toe, and wear a scarf in your hair

DAY 3

DESERT SAFARI

We travelled to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve on the third day to witness the sunrise. We were picked up from the hotel in a four-wheel drive vehicle by our charming safari guide, who then drove us there. It was so much joy for me to experience camel riding for the first time. Don't worry if you don't know how to ride a camel, the guide will assist you and get you ready for a unique ride experience.

On this evening dinner cruise, take in the views of the Dubai Marina. You'll board a typical Dhow, a one- or two-masted Arab sailing vessel with an upper deck open to the elements and a lower deck encased in glass. Enjoy a buffet supper and views of Dubai's well-known landmarks as you cruise around the man-made canal.

WHAT WE MISSED

MIRACLE GARDEN

Although we lacked the time, I'm sure it's a beautiful location. Check it when you're making travel plans since the garden is closed in the summer owing to the extreme heat.

HELICOPTER RIDE

Although it was a bit pricy and we were short on time, I really wanted to go in a helicopter.
